Suffolk Web Design. New Charity Website. Bury St Edmunds. Case Study.
The Brief
Based on the idilic Suffolk Coastline within easy reach of Ipswich, Cambridge, Colchester, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds, Wardens Trust provides recreational facilities for people with disabilities, the elderly and their carers.
Their old (homegrown) website was well past its sell-by date by the time Wardens got in touch with us: it was clunky and difficult to navigate (on anything) vital information was buried deep within it's pages and the site structure itself was insecure. The Wardens team required a complete website rebuild and redesign to match their goals and ambitions for the future. Here's what it looks like now...
Our Approach
We stripped everything back to the basics and re-organised the global page structure and individual page layouts. A new look and feel was created to reflect the Wardens environment more clearly. Carefully selected photos were added to illustrate Wardens multiple uses for Duke of Edinburgh Award Students, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, School and Community Groups as well as being an ideal place for holiday makers seeking a place to relax and enjoy the countryside with its wonderful sea views and a private beach to play with. New styling was added. The site was also made fully responsive so it displays beautifully any device. Extra security and WordPress CMS training came next. Plus a new booking calendar to help promote a full event schedule in advance.
The Result
Wardens Trust have started approaching educational organisations with a view to promoting their resort in the local area and further afield. The management team love the new Page Builder layer which it very easy to create professional layouts throughout the site quickly.
