THE BRIEF

Situated in Monksgate within York's historic city walls, St. Wilfrid's Roman Catholic Primary School aims to always ensure that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and develops a love of learning within a warm and supportive family atmosphere.

This website provides up to date information for our current families, as well as giving new parents and members of the wider community an insight into the life of our school. St Wilfrid's have been clients of ours for quite a while now. We built their old website circa 2012.

APPROACH

Analytics showed that most of the people using it (parents, guardians, members of staff...) visited using mobile devices like smartphones and tablets, so their new website needed to become fully mobile-friendly so as to improve their browsing experience. It also needed some work in the backend CMS too, to make it easier and more intuitive for the staff to use when it came to editing the site in-house. We completely re-built this website from the ground-up using responsive Beaver Builder elements to create each new page layouts. We brightened up the branding too. And added new photos from a special photo shoot we helped to arrange.

 

 

THE RESULT

Each section on every page is an easy to edit drag and drop affair making it easier to move information around the page. Or add new sections, photos, buttons and other kinds of links. We also added a Care Plan to ensure the WordPress software is always kept safe, stable and completely up to date.
